I am committed for the healing, the well-being and development of you as a whole person: Body Mind and Spirit. (AI) I am a fully qualified experienced Integrative Trauma-Informed Counsellor, which means that I am trained in lots of different approaches and modalities. I am experienced in helping clients with anxiety, stress, depression, grief, abuse, trauma, and many other issues.
Alongside, my private practice, I currently work for Gloucestershire Counselling Service providing time limited and open-ended counselling to individuals experiencing a wide range of personal issues.
Prior to being in private practice, I worked for number of years with Gloucestershire Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (GRASAC) and where I undertook ‘Understanding and Working with Sexual Violence ‘ (Accredited training with OCN). Once I qualified as a counsellor, I have worked with different agencies including Cotswold Counselling and a diverse client base who come with range of issues from depression, work stress, relationship issues, anxiety to highly complex traumas. I am especially experienced in working with women, men and young girls aged 13-18, who have survived sexual violence or abuse both recent and historic, including childhood sexual abuse and help them empower themselves and move forward using the Trauma Informed Model. I have completed the CRUSE Bereavement Foundation Course and am experienced in working with bereavement and loss. I am trained to help you understand the impact and effects of abuse and work with you to overcome the symptoms of trauma including panic attacks, flashbacks, PTSD and dissociation as needed.
My specialist areas are:

Life can be challenging and sometimes we can find it hard to cope with the overwhelm or find ourselves stuck. Life transitions like divorce, parenting, co-parenting, career changes, immigrating or moving can be stressful and leave us wondering how to cope. We could find ourselves in relationships, whether it be family, friendships, or romantic partnerships, struggling with patterns and behaviours that do not serve us or the relationship.
Every person is unique, and for me the most important factor is the relationship between us. I work in an integrative and holistic way using a combination of therapeutic approaches to support your specific needs and goals e.g., Person centred, Psychodynamic, Solution Based etc as well as with alternative therapies as needed.
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) providing confidentiality in a warm, accepting therapeutic relationship.
Our work together is completely confidential and supervised, and I adhere to the values, morals and code of ethics of the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions,
